Teaching is a Passion

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning”. A motivate quote from Brad Henry, which serves as a mirror of one of the professors that I had known.

Ms. Rina C. Penaredondo, a fresh graduate from STI Colege-Calamba, who took up Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She is 22 years old and lives in Canlubang, Laguna. And her dream job is to become a teacher either in elementary or in high school, but she is already now professor in a college school where she graduated.

The first impression of most students at her was she is snappish, strict and serious professor. But according to her she is an ordinary girl who experienced how to be a college students like a complicated relationship. “I don’t know if he is my boyfriend or what? That’s the funny and corny thing that I experienced during my college and I never shared that for anyone” Ms. Rina said and then she laughed. She also said that she is single because her priority is her career and to help her family. Her stress reliever was reading fiction books just to skip the reality for a while.

But then, she is a kind of professor that create a challenging, yet welcoming classroom environment, maintaining high standards and expectations for all of their students regardless of differing learning styles or backgrounds. Her teaching style was depends on the amount of the students, she more likely a less students in a class. She must prefer to work in an environment which is quiet and complete facilities. As of now, she has two co-worker that she admire and help her to motivate and continue her teaching, even she want to take a masteral and doctoral degree. Her passion was teaching, even she got old she want to teach just to inspire and motivate other students.

Ms. Rina Penaredondo, remembered me that in one book, there’s one pen, one child and one teacher can change the world.
