But did you know that Suman production actually started in Cainta Rizal? Now, it was more popular as “pasalubong” in Antipolo. This kind of dish was the well-known kakanin in Antipolo. For the first timers or even people who usually visit the place they prefer to buy suman as their pasalubong to their friends.

There a creative idea in making suman, such as they use leaves that found in environment which serve as the wrapper of suman. Some called it as a “rice cake” that wrapped in a coconut leaves and before eating, you can dip it into sugar. People in Antipolo said that Suman binds them together, do you know why? Because wrapping and making suman together makes them feel that they are one, just like family.
