#NYC

Not everything can be learned inside the classroom. Guided by this belief, STI goes around the country every year for the National Youth Convention (NYC) with experts and professional speakers in the field to give students an inside look of what goes on in the industry and valuable insights they wouldn’t get anywhere else.

National Youth Convention (NYC) is the every year event for all STI campuses in the Philippines. It is held on different respective places. The NYC is a venue where students learn from industry leaders on the latest trends and at the same time, help them learn a lot about various things that can help useful to them when they graduate.

Last February 8, Wednesday, the 22nd National Youth Convention was held at Monochrome, Nuvali, Sta. Rosa. As expected, it was fun, I learned a lot from the incredible speakers .The speakers are, Mr. Arun Gogna, Mrs. Carelle Mangaliag, Mr. David Tapang. They were so great. They share to us their knowledge, experiences, and their life. I am so sure that lots of STI’er including me got some lesson that we can use someday when we enter the real world.

It was my 5th time to attend in NYC, but still, every convention, it feels new to me, every time I attend to this convention, I felt so honored, because not all students can have the opportunity like this. It was a great event in STI, because it helps us student for building our minds, shaping our attitudes, and train our skills in the near future. “Not everything can be learned inside the classroom” that was STI said, that is so true, students need to go outside to explore and discover knowledge and NYC is there to give it. I hope this convention will last forever, because it helps many STI students.
